TUG BOATS
Tugs that tow our
 Retired Navy Vessels
..............................................................................
Sailors that operate these tugs are the same sailors that
operate the large navy vessels. Their Tugs are only 100 ft. long,
comparing to the vessels they have to tow,
maybe 600 ft. long.  The seas are not as comfortable
to ride and steer into either.

Since the year 2009, I have been following Retired Navy
Vessels, leaving Suisun Bay, California.
The current reason the ships are being moved is to keep them
from dropping sea things into the Bay Waters.
With this thought, The tug crews are helping too!

EL CAPITAN could pilot these tugs!
His ship, USS YMS-328 is the same size.

The crews share the sea with many creatures - DOLPHINS :)

The tug companies have been very helpful with information me about their tows.
All tows have NOT been without costly encounters like engine break downs and towed ship abnormalities.
But the sailors do enjoy fishing and lay overs in Panama.

Here are 20 tugs associated with 29 ships. Most traveled the " PANAMA CANAL".  Plus  VIDEOS

4 Navy ships were towed to the U.K. in 2003 but as of 2013, they still just moored there.
