Garland L. Queensberry
I live in Va, my father is listed as 1 of the deceased that served on the Adair. I used to love to listen to my father tell stories after dinner when I was a child. He could tell them in a way that my mind would float away to a place as he described. I could tell by the way my father would talk and act while telling these stories that they more than likely happened. My father was not known to stretch the truth, if the truth isn't thrilling enough, well so be it, that's how it happened. He made it seemed so real. My father was a very strong man and worked hard all his life. He lived his life with discipline and honor. He was truly a great man as many were in that time in our countries history. I was wondering if you or anyone else may remember my father? He had a nick name of "queeny" from our last name. He raised nine children, 16 grand children and 9 great grand children. The world is a bigger place because of him!  I was just surfing the web and did a search on my father's name and your site came up. It was such a pleasure to see his name come up and it brought back so many wonderful memories that I wanted to thank you! Have a blessed life! Wade K. Queensberry
