The Coast Guard
Cutter Healy was our second adopted unit and our first vessel. That is
why our
newsletter masthead has
featured a photo of the USCGC Healy these past years. Since its
adoption, we
have held an annual
March, Honor the Healy Dinner Event, which is traditionally one of our
most popular events.
Unfortunately this past March we were forced to postpone the 6th Annual
Honor
the Healey Event due to
changes in the deployment schedule for the vessel.
As many of you may know, the Healy has spent considerable time in dry dock these past months and has recently been going through extensive sea testing. On April 3rd it deployed on its Arctic research duties. Above is a photo of the Healy proceeding north while the Polar Sea is returning to port in Seattle after completing its deployment to Antarctica. |
