446th Airlift Wing 2008
MSgt Jeffery S. Barsaloux has made a significant impact as a senior NCO, a flight line expediter and an enthusiastic community and military volunteer. He is a key supervisor for a team that manages the maintenance production of C-17A aircraft valued at $4.5 billion in mission-ready condition for immediate response to any aircraft training or real-world strategic and humanitarian airlift tasking. This includes the supervision of 200 military, Air Reserve and civilian technicians in seven diverse and highly technical aircraft maintenance career fields. A pillar of the military and civilian community, Sergeant Barsaloux coordinated and worked concession stands at Safeco Field earning over $6,000 for the morale fund. He regularly coaches youth basketball at the local youth center fostering community and military relations. He also served as president of the Auburn Little League overseeing an annual budget of $87,000. His efforts were vital to a successful season for 503 boys and girls. In addition , Sergeant Barsaloux also served as the 446th's Maintenance Group "Moosefest '07" financial chairman overseeing a budget of $5,800. His involvement ensured the awards banquet's success. Moosefest was founded out of a desire to honor those within the maintenance group who excel at their job. MSgt Barsaloux was leadership's first choice to attend the limited seating, Franklin Covey Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. He graduated from Maintenance Resource Management Course for senior managers. As a production manager, he was hand selected for the Air Mobility Command Maintenance Production Course, improving his flight line leadership skills. Sergeant Barsaloux was a pastmaster of the local Toastmasters. He has spoken at chapter symposiums greatly improving his public speaking skills. MSgt Barsaloux's military appearance and bearing continually reflect obvious pride in his work and the service. His keen sense of responsibility in the performance of his duties reflect great credit upon himself and are keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Air force Reserve. |
