17 enlisted men and one officer are responsible for topside spaces and
fuel rigs on the after half of the ship. They care for and operate
the ship's two motor whale boats and number two utility boat, as well as
the paint locker. During replenishment at sea operations, 2nd division
mans stations 5,6,7 and 8.
Despite the many days spent operating at sea and the small amount of time alloted to routine upkeep in port, The Deck Department helped the ship receive a "well done" from our boss (ComServ Ron Three) prior to our departure from WestPac. |
