These 25 men and 2 officers in Operations are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operation of all electronic equipment including Radar which finds other ships in the area, radio, signaling equipment, and navigational equipment on the ship.  The men in this department provide a combat information center, and provide various communications facilities such as are found only in the navy.  The quartermaster finds our way over the ocean by charting our course. The postal clerk is sure a welcome sight after a few weeks at sea.
