Gordon works on the  Kansas City Southern Railway System
working along the RED route between Shreveport and New Orleans

Gorden came aboard the Kawishiwi in Sept of 72 as a member of the deck force.  The ship had just returned from westpac, and as soon as he reported aboard, we started mucking out the fuel tanks that had carried the old black oil.  What a mess.  He was transferred to operations about a month after coming aboard to become a Radioman.  He made two Westpac Cruises one in 73 and another in 75.  He departed Kawishiwi in April 1976, and returned home to Mississippi.

Gordon moved to Louisiana in July 76 and hired on with the Kansas City Southern Railway, and is still working there.  He is a locomotive Engineer with ten more years till retirement.  He has been married to his wife Jean for 26 years.  Most of the guys on the Kawishiwi called him Gordon T.

Gordon says "I'm new to computering, and don't know how to send a picture, but I have plenty of experience in replenishment operations, mess cooking and stuff like that.  Even some from Subic."
