On 6-26 1700 The final decision was made by the Pilot to suspend the transit due to heavy fog and zero visibility in the lower bay near the Golden Gate Bridge
1715 We are anchored in anchorage #5 with the Kawishiwi anchored by our tow wire.
1725 Pilot and assist tugs depart

1015 Clear GG Bridge, tugs released-Visibility 800ft.
On 7-3 Asked Vern the origin of name "KAWISHIWI".
Answer - Kawishiwi River - Ely, Minnesota.
On 7-5 Capt Mike R reports:  Another fantastic morning, intend to put out some fishing lines for first time. Fixing up 2 homemade outriggers and should have one on the starboard side set up soon. Mate Marsha notes: Had a tasty cookout last night, steak and fresh veggies and to top it off delicious homemade strawberry cheesecake. Good weather last few nights full of glimmering stars and a brilliant moon.

On 7-10 Capt Mike R reports: Weather wonderful and a great voyage. Crew continues with routine maintenance and deck work.
On 7-11 Capt Mike R reports: NOTE -
Change  of ETA. All is well aboard with tug and tow.
On 7-12 Capt Mike R reports:  Speed slowed to 4.8 so picked up due to  forecast in Gulf of Tehuantepec fore winds 30 kts port bow to port beam.  Looks like the stronger winds only cover an area of 60 - 80 miles. All is well, boat is clean & organized, foredeck is painted and looks great.
On 7-13 Capt Mike R reports:  Speed picked up to 5.6 knts.
On 7-15, 16, 17: Capt Mike R reports:  All is well and good.
On 7-19: Capt Mike R reports: We have started to ease our course more to the East and pick up speed.
On 7-21 Capt Mike R reports: We arrived 10 miles from Panama Bay Sea Buoy, agents will be coming to the ship in the anchorage at 1100 to start preparing ship for transit. Vessels should be secure in the anchorage at approx. 0900. All Ok with tug, crew and tow.

On 7-27,28,29,30 Capt Mike R reports: All is well aboard, tug tow and crew all good.

On 7-31 Capt Mike R reports: All is well aboard, tug tow and crew all good.

            Close look saw man, not in distress so waved and went on our way.

0630 Line Handlers board "Kawishiwi".   0700 Pilot boards ship and assist tug "Ranger" arrives.  0725 Inbound at Sea Buoy.   0750 Clear Jetties.
1000 Arrive at scrap yard.  1035 Break tow and depart for berth.  1105 Tug secure at berth.  1120 Officials onboard.  1145 Officials finished.
1340 Underway outbound Brownsville Channel for sea.   1510 Clear Jetties.     1535 Pass Sea Buoy 350 MTG to Eugene Island # 1 & 2.
1630 Wind-SE 10kts Sea-SE 2-3 ft    All is well with tug, tow and crew.   Capt. Mike
