Dad had our whole family
living in Pearl Harbor for the same time frame. My sister and
myself ended up going to schools there along with other members of the
Kawishiwi's kids. I have been on the Kawishiwi many times as a
kid growing up and as a family, even took a local cruise on it with my
Dad while he was stationed there. I am sure he wishes you
and all of his shipmates the best. I am in the process of trying
to find folks who may have known him. Again, if you
find anyone that knew my Dad, I sure would appreciate hearing from
