USS Hoga (YT-146) had been moved out of the National Defense Reserve Fleet anchorage in Suisan Bay, California
and towed on December 18, 2012, to the Allied Defense Recycling (ADR) shipyard in Vallejo, California.
ADR, at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard, specializes in environmentally sound ship repair, conversion and overhaul.

The Hoga played a crucial role in saving lives and clearing the harbor entrance during the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
