Mike McCullough, a Bay Area Photographer, is an original volunteer saving USS Hornet.
Mike reminds us that the Hornet was sold for scrap also but still became a museum.


That's Smith Maritimes's Tug "Rhea" plowing into a rushing tide.

Glacier: named for Glacier Bay Alaska, was the first icebreaker to make her way through
 the frozen Bellingshausen Sea in Antarctic and was the flagship for
RADM Richard E. Byrd USN.

Tug Rhea had a Flood Tide to buck so it took an extra two and a half hours to reach the Golden Gate Bridge.

Glacier is on her way to Brownsville. :(
