"Uncommon Warriors
“Uncommon Warriors” is a compendium of U.S. Navy vessels that have been assigned hull numbers starting with the letters “AG” or “IX.” For those unfamiliar with navy speak, “AG” stands for “Auxiliary, General” while “IX” signifies “miscellaneous unclassified” vessels. In other words, these categories are the naval equivalent of the kitchen drawer in which you toss everything that does not belong anywhere else.
